Welles Orr Comments on U.S.-China Trade Negotiations in Law360
"Congress Facing Full Plate of Trade Work Before Year Is Out"
Welles Orr commented on next steps in the ongoing trade dispute between the U.S. and China, with the two governments preparing to return to the negotiating table. "The House and Senate leaders will pressure the administration, maybe even quietly, to just get a deal done. Even if it's a so-called mini-deal, getting some portion of an agreement in place and calling it a win," Orr said. "If the administration can call that enough of a win, that may help everybody and then we move on and they can continue to negotiations."
