Marc Gerson was quoted regarding taxpayer efforts to lobby for administrative guidance under the recently enacted Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.  "I think there's still hope that there will be issues that can be addressed through the regulatory process, but at some point — and whether it's based on the release of the proposed regulations or when the regs are finalized — there will still be issues that taxpayers are interested in that haven't been resolved," Gerson said. "And at that point, I think you're going to see a shift" to lawmakers.
