Loren Ponds, a former House Ways and Means committee tax counsel, will provide legal advice to the newly-created Opportunity Funds Association, a trade group that will represent opportunity zone investors utilizing incentives provided by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). The association will lobby on policy surrounding opportunity zones at the federal, state, and local levels.
