Tax Department Vice Chair Layla Asali will moderate the DC Bar panel discussion, "2020 Final and Proposed Foreign Tax Credit-Related Regulations," part two of the DC Bar's five-part International Tax Series on November 5, 2020. This program will examine recent final and proposed regulations addressing various aspects of the foreign tax credit and expense allocation rules. Panelists will discuss the final regulations, which address, among other issues, various expense allocation issues and foreign tax credit redeterminations. They will also discuss the proposed regulations, including proposed significant changes to the fundamental rules for determining whether a foreign levy is a creditable tax.
