DC Bar International Tax Lunch Series: IP Planning in the New Environment

Washington, DC

Rocco V. Femia will present during the DC Bar International Tax Lunch Series: IP Planning in the New Environment on May 22, 2018. This panel will discuss the impact of U.S. tax reform and other changes in the global tax environment on traditional IP tax planning. New U.S. provisions, including FDII, GILTI, and the BEAT, might change the incentives regarding how multinationals hold their IP, but changes to sections 367, 482, and 936 also must be considered. Meanwhile, other countries continue to make changes to their international tax rules and administration. The panel will highlight what practitioners should consider going forward.
