In this article, John Eustice and Marc Bohn examine the data privacy laws currently in place in Argentina, Mexico, and Uruguay, and discuss best practices in alignment with The Sedona Conference® International Principles on Discovery, Disclosure & Data Protection (International Principles). The lack of case law or official guidance addressing how entities facing U.S. litigation may be impacted by the data privacy and protection laws of these three countries shows the importance of utilizing the practical aspects of the International Principles.
