Richard A. Hibey

Richard Hibey focuses his practice on white collar criminal and antitrust matters, corporate and federal securities law, and complex commercial transactions.  Mr. Hibey has represented high-profile clients in cases that have involved espionage, human rights violations, Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO), and other white collar crimes and complex civil matters.  He was trial counsel for Sun-Diamond Growers of California when it was prosecuted by the Office of Independent Counsel investigating former Secretary of Agriculture, Michael Espy.  The Supreme Court ultimately sustained the Circuit Court’s reversal of the conviction.  Mr. Hibey was also chief counsel for the Special Bid Oversight Commission of the U.S. Olympic Committee, which investigated the events leading to the selection of Salt Lake City to host the Winter Olympics.
