02.15.17Barry Pollack commented on lessons learned for whistleblowers from Obama-era enforcements. "Never lie to the FBI is the easy one," said Pollack, who represents WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange and defended former CIA agent Jeffrey Sterling. "That is a separate offense," he said. "If a person lies to the FBI, the government need not charge or prove a violation of the Espionage Act. It can simply charge the offense of making a false statement."
