Barry Pollack Comments on Supreme Court’s Decision to Hear Skilling Case in Houston Chronicle

“Supreme Court Takes Jeff Skilling's Case”
Houston Chronicle
10.14.09Barry Pollack discusses the Supreme Court’s announcement that it will hear the case of former Enron CEO Jeff Skilling. Pollack, who represented an Enron defendant in two trials in Houston, said that in both trials he saw a jury pool with a strong presumption of guilt of Enron officials. He said Enron is an extreme case and it will be interesting to see the court tackle this issue, especially with the saturation of the case in the national media, on the Internet and in local media. According to Pollack, the court could favor Skilling and still not open the door for other Enron defendants, since Skilling and Lay were bigger symbols of Enron in the community.
