Jonathan Kossak was named an award winner in an announcement
by the Pro Bono
Resource Center of Maryland. Kossak received the 2016 Young Lawyers Section Alex Fee Memorial Award for his representation of clients in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC, in a variety of matters, including two separate cases in which he, along with Member Jim Bensfield, helped exonerate clients wrongfully convicted of sexual assaults committed in the mid-1980s. Kossak was one of several award winners recognized by the Pro Bono
Resource Center of Maryland at the Maryland State Bar Association's Annual Meeting on June 18, 2016. The statewide awards, which were handed out by Mary Ellen Barbera, Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals, honor outstanding attorneys, non-attorneys and programs that have made significant contributions to the delivery of pro bono
civil legal services to Maryland's low-income citizens.
