"How I helped free Fernando, an innocent man"
The Villager
01.27.16Barry Pollack's pro bono representation of Fernando Bermudez was highlighted in The Villager. Bermudez was wrongfully convicted of a murder and spent 18 years in prison. The judge in the case not only overturned the wrongful conviction, but declared Bermudez as factually "innocent," as opposed to simply not guilty. The wrongful conviction has become the basis of a play written by a reporter for The Villager. The play, which is performing in New York City, is entitled "Pedro Castillo Is Innocent."
