Barry Pollack Comments on Fourth Circuit Decision in Sterling Case in The Washington Post

"Federal Appeals Court:  Journalists Can't Decline to Testify in Criminal Trials"
The Washington Post
07.19.13In this article, Barry Pollack comments on the Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals majority decision which ruled that reporter James Risen can be forced to testify at the trial of former CIA officer Jeffrey Sterling, who is Pollack's client. The case has now been sent back to the U.S. District Court in Alexandria for further proceedings, though that does not guarantee it will now proceed. According to Pollack, his client, who lives in the St. Louis area, is "probably going to remain in limbo even longer as the fight between the Department of Justice and Mr. Risen continues." Pollack said Risen could appeal the ruling to the full appeals court or to the Supreme Court.
