Miller & Chevalier Celebrates the Firm's 90th Anniversary

Miller & Chevalier celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, a significant milestone in an industry that continues to undergo tremendous change. We attribute our longevity to the trust of our clients; the substantive depth and innovation of our lawyers and staff; and our commitment to the fundamental values that have unified and inspired Miller & Chevalier since our founding in 1920.

Our firm is unique in today’s marketplace -- we are a specialized firm concentrating on a few core areas of law and policy. We continue to believe that our smaller, focused platform and our highly responsive and value-oriented approach to client representation is the right model for us and for our clients.

We are proud of the diversity of the clients we represent -- a considerable number of which have been with us for much of our history -- and the results we have been able to achieve. We are grateful for the opportunities that our clients have provided. We consider our clients’ success to be our mission, and we are committed to continuing to expand our core areas of practice to meet their need for specialized legal services.

From health care and tax reform to increased enforcement and greatly expanded compliance initiatives, companies face real challenges in the current environment. As we look to our 100 year anniversary and beyond, Miller & Chevalier is well-positioned to help clients because of our deep and recognized experience in areas critical to business success -- tax; employee benefits, including ERISA; international law and business; complex litigation; and government affairs.

Miller & Chevalier is also very proud of its history of pro bono and community service. Our belief that everyone needs to contribute to the greater good has helped define our firm culture. The firm established its commitment to give back to the community in 1929 by founding the Miller & Chevalier Chartered Charitable Foundation. Over the past ninety years, our lawyers have donated their time and talent to help individuals and organizations lacking the resources to access our system of justice. In addition, our lawyers and staff have contributed to countless community service projects and fund-raising efforts that have had a real impact.

As we reflect on our history and look toward our future, we want to take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation for the commitment and inspiration of our clients, lawyers, staff and friends of the firm.
