Our People

Our lawyers are recognized as leaders in their fields. Many have held positions at the highest levels of the federal government and have significant experience in private practice. Our lawyers’ excellence has been routinely recognized by peers and independent research organizations. Firm lawyers and practices are ranked and featured in publications like Chambers USA and Chambers Global, Best Lawyers in America®, Legal 500, Washingtonian's Leading D.C. Lawyers, and more. Our lawyers are widely quoted, published, and sought after to chair and address business and industry conferences throughout the United States and around the globe.

But beyond their professional accomplishments, our lawyers have lives outside of their work. One of our lawyers is an avid photographer, one is a concert pianist, and one inspired a character in a Robert Redford movie (although his claim that he was played by Redford has been debunked). Another lawyer slow smoked ribs and brisket to win a national barbeque competition on the National Mall. Our lawyers coach youth sports teams, volunteer in schools, and serve as leaders of charitable and civic organizations that serve the communities in which they live. In all these endeavors, our lawyers are as passionate and innovative as they are in their law practices, and the firm celebrates, and seeks to facilitate, those accomplishments. We believe that our lawyers' achievements prove that professional excellence can be attained without sacrificing personal fulfillment. At the end of the day, working at Miller & Chevalier means working with excellent colleagues whose judgment and intellect you respect and whose company you enjoy.

“What I enjoy most about Miller & Chevalier is that my work is collaborative with other lawyers. Because I like and respect my colleagues, both senior and junior, this makes my job a lot of fun and lets me deliver terrific client service.”
